– Li Jin and Joe Furlonger’s art banquet –

By December 2014

Food is central to Li Jin’s world and work and so it was fitting that his first taste of Australia was a Sydney Banquet in his honour. Jetlagged but wide-eyed, Li Jin, together with Australian landscape artist Joe Furlonger, painted a long scroll. The artist was aghast but amused enough when told this was to be the banquet’s tablecloth: Li Jin had painted many food scrolls before, but had never eaten off one of them.
